Refunds, terms & privacy
The short version: if you're not happy within 14 days, you get your money back. You can print your poster as often as you like for yourself or as a gift. We don't track you, and we never sell your details.

14-day money-back guarantee #
If you're not happy with your poster for any reason, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying it. No questions asked. You don't need to send the file back or explain anything.
How to ask
Email streamofwork@gmail.com within 14 days of your purchase and include one of these so we can find it:
- your receipt ID (it starts with
SKY-and is shown after payment) or PayPal order ID, or - the transaction hash of your crypto payment, or
- your
SKY-code, if you unlocked with one.
How you get your money back
- PayPal: the refund goes back to your original payment, through PayPal. How long it takes to show up depends on PayPal and your bank or card.
SKY-code: we refund the payment the code came from, the same way you paid for it.- Crypto: we only send a refund to a wallet address you confirm by replying from the same email address you used to contact us. We never send a refund to an address that reaches us any other way. This protects you from “address poisoning”, a scam where someone slips a look-alike wallet address into the conversation.
Refunds are per purchase. If you bought two posters and want to return one, we refund that one.
Sent less than the price, or paid on a different network than you meant to? Email us with the transaction hash. We'll work it out with you: either you send the difference and we unlock your poster, or we refund what arrived (to a confirmed address, as above).
Terms of sale #
Skynolie sells digital products: print-ready star map files that you design on this site and download. Nothing is shipped. You print it yourself, at home, at a print shop or through an online printer (our printing guide walks you through it). Prices are in US dollars.
What each purchase includes
One purchase = one poster. A poster is one sky: the date, time and place you chose.
| Option | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Print File | $9 | Your sky in one style (Midnight, Ink, Blush or Aurora) |
| Framer's Bundle | $19 | Your sky in all four styles |
| Couple Print File | $14 | The couple's poster: two skies on one poster, in one style |
| All four styles (upgrade) | $10 | Adds the other three styles to a sky you already bought as a Print File |
After you unlock a poster you can keep adjusting it at no extra cost: the title, your line of text, names, the place label printed on the poster, constellation lines and grid, the date language and the paper size. Changing the date, time or place makes a different sky, so that's a new poster. A Print File or Couple Print File is made in the one style you picked. To get your sky in all four styles, choose the Framer's Bundle, or if you already bought the Print File, add the other three styles for $10.
Your licence: personal use
- Print as many copies as you like, for yourself or to give as gifts.
- Share pictures of your framed poster anywhere you like.
- You may not resell the files or prints made from them, or use the artwork commercially (for example selling it, putting it on products for sale, or using it in advertising).
How the sky is computed
Every poster shows the real sky for the moment and place you choose. Star positions come from the Yale Bright Star Catalog. We use the real time zone for your place, including daylight saving time, and we correct star positions for precession (the slow wobble of Earth's axis) so older and future dates are right too. Dates from 1800 to 2200 are supported.
An honest accuracy note: the map shows catalog stars down to magnitude 6.5, about the faintest a person can see without a telescope under a dark sky. It does not show the planets or the Moon, so a bright “star” you remember from that night might have been a planet that isn't on the map.
Delivery
Delivery is instant: your files unlock in your browser as soon as your payment is confirmed. Keep your receipt ID: it starts with SKY- and is shown on screen right after payment (it is not the number on your PayPal email). With it you can restore your poster on another device or browser. Each payment can unlock its poster up to 5 times in total (your first unlock plus 4 restores); if you ever need more, just email us.
What next? Our printing guide explains what each file is for, which size to pick, the best paper and how to frame it.
If something goes wrong
If a file won't open, prints wrong, or the sky looks off, email us first and we'll help you put it right. And the 14-day money-back guarantee always applies.
Privacy #
No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. We don't run ad pixels or visitor analytics, our site sets no cookies of its own, and you never need to sign up.
What stays in your browser
The designs you make, and the record of what you've unlocked, are kept in your own browser (its local storage). We don't receive them unless you buy (the only exception is the place name you type into the search box, see below). Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them, so keep your receipt ID.
What we keep when you buy
When you buy, we store a purchase record in our sales ledger, hosted on Cloudflare, so you can restore your poster later. It contains:
- the payment ID (PayPal order ID, transaction hash or
SKY-code), - which option you bought and the amount,
- the poster details you designed, such as the date, place and text,
- where you first came from: the referring website or campaign link, and the first page you landed on on our site (this stays in our ledger and is not sent to PayPal),
- when it was first and last used, and how many times it has been unlocked.
If you pay with PayPal, PayPal also gives us, as the seller, your name and email address, as it does for every purchase. We use them only to handle your order, a refund or a question. We don't sell any of this or share it with anyone else. If you email us, we keep that conversation so we can help you.
Services that receive some data
- PayPal processes PayPal payments. Its checkout script loads only when you open checkout, may use its own cookies, and what you enter there is covered by PayPal's own privacy policy.
- Public blockchain explorers and RPC providers are asked about your transaction hash when you pay with crypto, so we can confirm the payment. Blockchain transactions are public by nature.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim receives the place you search for, so the place can be found and its coordinates filled in.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the sales ledger, and handles your request (including your IP address) when you load a page.
- The homepage footer shows launch-directory badges. Their images load from those directory sites, which can see your request like any other image.
Our fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page doesn't contact Google or any other font service.
Deleting your data
Email streamofwork@gmail.com with your payment ID and we'll delete your purchase record. Once it's deleted we can't restore that poster for you on a new device, so download your files first.
